At Deep Clean, we don’t just provide a clean-looking result – we make sure the rug has been thoroughly cleaned from the inside too. Our process includes several stages to ensure the best results. Firstly, the rug is shaken via a special machine to make sure all of the dust is out. Although it may not seem like it at first glance, rugs can carry a lot of dust which becomes embedded into the very foundation of the item; in fact, it is not uncommon to expel up to 2kg of dust from one rug alone – especially one that is in active use.
After the rug has been shaken, it is placed into what we refer to as a “rug bath”. The rug is laid in a special pool, where it is soaked for a period of time. We then hand wash the rug from both sides, opting for the traditional approach instead of rough machine cleaning.
This is repeated until the water that is flowing from the item is completely clean. Deep Clean’s method requires care and precision; both pressure applied and liquids used should be carefully selected to suit the specific item, since all rugs differ in certain aspects. By carefully monitoring this stage, we ensure that the fabric and natural colours do not suffer any damage or blotching. Once the cleaning stage is complete, the rug is then hung to dry in the drying area, where the temperature is carefully monitored to create optimal drying conditions.
The last stage is referred to as inspection, where a trained specialist inspects the rug and confirms whether it is ready to be returned.
The price of collection, cleaning and delivery is £25 per square meter, whilst repair price depends on the required job.
